  Hartmanella vermiformis Protozoan

Hartmanella vermiformis

We discuss protists in the microorganisms section of the site. One of the many protist types is protozoan. Protozoans include organisms such as amoebas. The Hartmanella vermiformis species is shown in this scanning electron micrograph. This specimen has been feeding on bacteria that will eventually force the protozoa to rupture.
