Biology4Kids Quiz: Plants

QUESTION 4:
CORRECT!
That's about it. Sometimes plants reproduce sexually, and sometimes they don't. It all depends on the species and the situation. When you find seeds on the ground, those are a sexual means of reproduction. Some ivy species can start a new plant if they are cut off from the original. That cutting is a clone of the original and no sexual reproduction was required to create the new plant. Although it is sexual reproduction, there are even plants that fertilize themselves. Pea plants are a good example of a self-pollinating species.
