Biology4Kids Quiz: Plants

QUESTION 9:
INCORRECT
All of these choices are advantages of angiosperms over other plant species. Since angiosperms were the first plants to develop flowers, they were the first to have specialized leaves that became petals. While gymnosperms have seeds, they don't have tissue to protect the seed. That protective tissue is called endosperm. This group is also the first to have fruit to protect seeds. While an apple has seeds like other angiosperms, it has a big apple to protect those seeds. Bananas, tomatoes, and cantaloupe are all examples of the fleshy fruit of angiosperms.
